Overview of Role:

As a Senior Designer & Brand Strategist you will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that effectively communicate our brand’s identity, ensuring consistency across all company materials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Corporate, Human Resources, Medial Affairs, Clinical Operations, Clinical, Investor Relations, Finance, Regulatory, Legal and Patient Advocacy, to deliver high-quality designs and branding solutions that resonate with employees, investors, healthcare professionals, patients. The Senior Designer and Brand Specialist will play a key role in the creative development and execution of integrated corporate campaigns that strengthen our brand identity across multiple platforms. This individual will be responsible for creating compelling designs for packaging, websites, social media, digital materials, clinical presentations, patient material, HR material, to name a few while overseeing the design process from concept to completion. The role will require a strong blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities, as the Senior Designer and Brand Strategist will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact visual solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design, Brand Consistency & Quality Control:
    • Ensure all design materials—whether for print, digital, packaging, or social media—maintain consistency with the brand’s guidelines and voice.
    • Oversee design assets to ensure high-quality output and attention to detail in all deliverables.
    • Assist in the development and execution of brand strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the pharmaceutical industry’s unique requirements.
    • Collaborate with teams to produce visually impactful campaigns across various media channels (web, print, social, etc.) that adhere to industry regulations.
    • Provide insight and recommendations on brand messaging, design trends, and strategies to enhance brand positioning and recognition.
    • Develop and maintain visual branding guidelines that ensure consistent and high-quality design across all company materials, including digital, print, and promotional assets.
    • Develop creative designs for congress booths, advertisements and multi-media assets.
    • Create designs for packaging, product brochures, presentations, reports, advertisements, and other collateral that align with the brand’s identity.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the visual elements are aligned with strategic goals and resonate with target audiences in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Digital Design:
    • Design and implement digital assets for websites, social media, email campaigns, digital ads, and online content while optimizing user experience.
    • Stay up to date with the latest digital design trends and technologies to create innovative, effective digital campaigns and user interfaces.
    • Support the creation of interactive design elements, such as infographics and animations, for digital media.
  • Campaign Development & Management:
    • Work with the Chief Brand Officer to develop the design of integrated campaigns, working closely with the lead teams, creative, and multi-media to conceptualize and execute visually impactful campaigns across print, digital, social media, and other channels.
    • Ensure all campaign materials maintain consistent brand messaging and align with the overarching strategy.
    • Manage the creative process from ideation to execution, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define campaign goals, messaging, and design direction, balancing creativity with business objectives.
  • Packaging Design:
    • Develop innovative and visually appealing packaging designs that align with the brand’s identity and enhance the consumer experience.
    • Collaborate with product teams to understand product features and create packaging that effectively communicates the brand message and stands out on retail shelves.
    • Ensure all packaging designs adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Website Design:
    • Lead the design and development of responsive, user-friendly websites that are visually appealing and enhance the user experience.
    • Work closely with web developers to ensure design concepts are technically feasible and optimized for various devices and platforms.
    • Update and refresh website visuals, ensuring content is aligned with brand guidelines and campaigns.
    • Utilize analytics and feedback to optimize website design and user interaction.
  • Social Media Design:
    • Work closely with social media lead to design compelling visuals for social media platforms, including banners, posts, ads, and story content that align with the overall brand strategy.
    • Adapt designs for different social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) while maintaining visual consistency and engagement.
    • Stay up to date with social media trends and incorporate them into design strategies to increase audience engagement and brand awareness.
  • Education and Training Visual Design & Branding:
  • Create visually appealing designs for training modules, presentations, manuals, and eLearning platforms while adhering to established brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that all educational materials are consistent in visual identity, including typography, color schemes, and layout.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and content creators to ensure the design enhances the learning experience and delivers the intended educational impact.
  • Educational modules would include internal along with HCP and patient.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with teams’ company-wide to ensure design and messaging align with business goals and target audience.
    • Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and project progress to stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the creative process.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creative vision with project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all designs and branding materials comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines.
    • Review design materials for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to FDA regulations, ensuring that all promotional content aligns with industry standards.
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Multi-Media or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in graphic design and brand strategy, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both print and digital design, with a focus on branding, and pharmaceutical-related materials.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory requirements
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills, including campaign development, packaging, digital design, and social media graphics.
  • Knowledge of print production and packaging design, including understanding of materials, processes, and constraints.
  • Strong understanding of best practices for social media design.
  • Prior experience in designing educational materials or patient-facing content within the healthcare space.

Software Expertise

  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc.), and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience with video editing software and motion graphics is a plus (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Understanding of compromise of design vs. coding for HTML/CSS or experience working with web developers for digital asset integration.
  • Experience / knowledge in web design principles, UI/UX design, and responsive design practices.
  • Experience with AI prompt creation and generation experience

Team Player & Time Management

  • Proven experience in leading design projects from concept to completion, with a focus on delivering results that align with brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Experience working with web developers and teams to ensure seamless execution of digital projects.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality design work and managing multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

The pay range for this role is $118,500 – $139,500 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
